Careers Workshop

I attended a careers workshop at University to talk about the future and what I need to do in order to achieve my overall goal.

The main focus of the workshop was based around what we want to be doing as a career in the future. For me personally, I am currently in a position where I don’t have a preferred career path, so when asked the question of “what do you want to do?” I was unable to answer.

This was slightly embarrassing for me, but the people running the session assured that this was a normal feeling, and I need to look into this deeper to found out what i enjoy and what might suit me based off my personality traits and get a feel for what I would be well suited to.

This session taught me that you don’t always know what the future holds, but its always good to look at whats best suited to you and to find something that you enjoy doing.

This session helped me become more employable I feel as it taught me that you have to enjoy what you want to do as a career and to do something that you are well suited to. With this information, it shows that I’m not willing to just settle for any job, I want to do something that i enjoy and will work hard to get there, and when i get there, I will be highly motivated within the job as I enjoy what I will be doing.
